[Being blind, Maul isn't entirely sure just what has been left at his doorstep. Since he can't see it and assume it's cursed, he'll just stick it on one of the tables he's decorated his rooms with, and hope the ghost that haunts the place likes it enough not to throw it across the room.]

[Maul is trying so very hard not to laugh the entire time Glitch is babbling away. When he finally realizes that he's sent the message across the board, he can't contain it any longer. So Glitch gets to witness a sight few have, which is Maul cackling away in complete and utter amusement. He laughs and laughs and laughs like he hasn't done so in a long time. Once again, he's being dragged down into high school teenage bullshit, but at least this time it's entertaining.

He wipes away some bloody tears underneath his blindfold before he finally answers.]

Here's a solution. Gather your courage and be brave. Go right up to him and kiss him on the mouth. Then you'll know for certain if your affections are returned or not.

So, two things. First off, I think I've figured out how to kind of feel that- that...power. Secondly, I'm officially taking you up on your weird mental meditation bullshit. The medication isn't cutting it and I got metaphorically fucked majorly and I understand that was probably always likely to happen, especially in this worthless town, but it happened in a big way and I really just need you to either put me out of my misery or teach me even a fraction of internalized self-control. It might be kinder on you to do the former though.

[The last time Maul had heard Reaper this agitated was when he'd left all those messages on Maul's device when he'd been a deer. He was unsure what was going on until Reaper mentions Christmas. Even then, he's a little befuddled with all the hesitancy and pacing.]

I had it explained to me as a holiday where you give presents to people you care about and decorate the house to make yourself and others happy. Also an old man breaks into your house and gives you gifts as well if you leave him an offering of food.

[......Alright, so maybe Maul's understanding of the holiday got filtered through his usual psychopathic personality, but hey, at least he got the basics down!]

[ Holidays aren't exactly relevant to his brand of demon, but Paimon's curiosity and desire to learn have had him very interested in what's going on with this. When he learned it was a time of giving, it's definitely been on his radar. Maintaining his bonds with others in this place is extremely important for him; he often bestows little gifts to people. Now here's a time designated for that.

He's been practicing his art, and he's evolved to making more detailed miniatures again (something a past self used to do.....) Delivered sometime on the 25th, left on the porch, is a figure:


The little doll is very intricately made, comprised of different pieces and parts of random things he's been collecting over time, glued and fastened together. As for what exactly it's meant to be..... there seems to be some influence of Maul in the minikin, with its red head and needles sticking out. Paimon had a vision. Happy Holidays, Powerful Mentor. 👑 ]

[Hmmmm, what a very unusual gift he's been left. He's pretty sure that Paimon left this for him. How very thoughtful of the demon. He'll put it next to the one he left in September. He's going to start amassing a collection at this point.]

Christmas Day - Action

[Reaper hated Christmas. So much. It was his most hated holiday since he had 'died' the first time, but that didn't mean that he couldn't ache to be included in it. Normally, he didn't have anyone that would put up with his terrible moods for it, or worse, he made certain to plan a death so he wasn't even present for it. Deerington had a few too many effects where it wasn't worth the effort to off himself continually.

And he had Maul now, even if what they were was not something either of them defined as something to fit into a box. They existed in one another's spheres of existence and continually enjoyed one another's company. It was dating, and he knew that, but he liked to think what he had with Maul was far more special than that. They just seemed to click.

It reminded him of Jack. He ached for a connection even remotely like that.

So, he had taken a leap and made certain to invite Maul over. He had his own plans for it, but that didn't make him any less agitated. Olivia, his massive black furry beast of a dog, followed him around everywhere, and she even tolerated the mini lights that he had attached to her fur.

He didn't have a tree, but he had wrapped a few gifts in newspaper. He didn't have proper wrapping papers, so this was economical and he figured Maul wouldn't hold it against him. A small box, a bigger box and a note. He hadn't done this in awhile, so he was pacing, working out his agitation as he moved through the farm house he now resided in.

Maul would come. The Zabrak wouldn't stand him up unless it was an emergency.]

[Maul ended up sleeping unusually late given his nighttime activities on Christmas Eve. After sorting out what he could with the texts Varian and Ruby sent him, he put the entire situation out of his mind. After all, he had something to look forward to today.

Maul gathered up the rather inexpertly wrapped gifts he'd gotten for Reaper (truth be told, they looked a little like a car had run over them), woke up one of the remaining two rancors, and went off to where Reaper had told him he was staying these days.

He left the rancor in the front yard to sniff around and get used to its new home as Maul knocked on the door. When Reaper answered the door, Maul looked quite pleased to be there. He'd never had a chance to celebrate any sort of holiday like this before.]

I believe the traditional greeting for this day is 'Merry Christmas'?

[On the 25th Maul will find a gift has been left outside his door! According to the tag it's from Fern, and inside the meticulously wrapped package is a spooky spooky mask carving.

[Reaper has decided to take the usual risk when it comes to Maul's abode and now dangerous planet neighbourhood to leave behind a gift for the occasion. They had talked about Valentine's Day before, but with all the distractions and Deerington being Deerington, he wasn't going to be upset if Maul had forgotten.

So, find a dozen roses just like this in a vase in a place that Maul could find but the wide variety of pets couldn't easily access to eat.

There was a piece a paper simply with a single sentence.]

[Reaper was so very thoughtful. Maul appreciated the bacon roses far more than he would have real flowers. What purpose could those serve? These, on the other hand, were very tasty and delicious. He was also touched at Reaper trusting him enough to tell him his name. He knew how much of a big deal that was to the man, a sign of how far Maul had wormed his way into his heart. He calls Reaper up when he finds the gift, munching on them the whole time.]

I must commend you-- [Much.] --For being able to sneak into my home without alerting me. [Crunch.] This is a wonderful gift. [Chomp.] Shall I stop by with yours?
