Accuse them of doing it themselves in order to frame me for the act. If somethine like that happened in my own galaxy, such a person would likely be a clone, so I'd be highly suspicious of them telling me such a thing to begin with.
His name is Vash. He knows less than I did about his powers but I've seen what happens when he loses control... It's like he becomes this black hole. Very hard to get away from, wouldn't want to encounter it again.
I've spoken with him and he wants help, he just doesn't have a clue where to start.
[Almost all the times he had lost were because his opponent was just a little luckier than he was, getting some break that allowed them to turn the fight in their favor and defeat Maul. He pointed the front half of his saberstaff at Grimmjow.]
Don't expect that to save you the next time we battle.
[Still, he was pleased that his skills had been recognized by a fellow warrior. Like recognized like and Grimmjow didn't seem like a man(?) who easily gave out compliments.]
"No." A look of deep unhappiness flickered across Maul's face for a moment and vibrated through the Force for a moment, echoing with a deep loneliness and longing that he'd been experiencing for months now. "He is still in another world and we have not been reunited yet." Maul kept hoping for that reunion but had accepted for now he was meant to be in Folkmore. He'd find his way back to Reaper come hell or high water, even if he had to drag the fox by her fluffy ears into taking him back to Trench.
"This one is different than the Nightsisters of old. No less powerful and merciless to her enemies but she is less inclined to ask Nightbrothers to serve her needs." Knowing Savage may not have understood how a Nightsister could act such a way, he put it another way he knew might be more receptive to a mind that had been shaped by witch magic. "Perhaps she asks that of her mate instead. I would not hesitate to offer her my services if she requested them but as of yet she has not."
There was an awkward silence as he watched the emotions parade across his brother's face from the loss of a mate. From his point of view not being exposed to the years of personal development that Maul had undertaken, it was simply looking at a distorted version of the brother that he thought he knew. The Force made it clear that his brother wasn't lying either, that those emotions were real and valid enough to stir the very energies around him. Someone - some male - had managed to accomplish with Darth Maul what no one else seemed capable of, and there was an ugly twist of envy which he stamped out quickly.
He closed his eyes and flexed his flesh hand in the water. It made sense. Maul had always been the strongest of Talzin's blood, and it was only the strong that could fight for such opportunities. No doubt the contest for a mate had been bloody and vicious, as was tradition. Maul had no one to protect through a trial as he had. "If you have the ability to bring things of your desire here from the fox, can you not force her to bring you your mate?"
He grunted and relented at the idea of the Nightsister being different, and it made sense. Isolation would weaken them; it always did. They were stronger in groups, and of course, a child of the Purge would not have the basis of their culture to be reinforced. "You would serve if she requested? To her end or your own, brother?" As Maul had been the only Nightbrother and his brother's... prickly attitude to following the orders of others, Savage was skeptical. "I still will serve you, my brother. And... her, if required."
Tradition and the magic that made him who he had become would ensure that he did.
"The ability to draw things here only extends to non-living objects and animals. She chooses who she wishes to bring without any consideration for what we personally would like. If I could have made her bring who I want here, I would have forced her to bring you far sooner, my brother." But the fox would do what she wanted and Maul had no way of understanding how her mind worked. But he would not lose his dignity and self-respect by pleading or cajoling with her, trying to get her to bring those he loved by begging the god the way he was sure she wanted him to.
"Why not both?" He said with a bit of humor. Merrin hadn't shown any inclination for wanting to seize power or have a plot brewing in the back of her mind, so Maul felt anything she asked of him wouldn't clash with his own plans. "I am still a Nightbrother." While he'd missed out on much of their culture not growing up on Dathomir, Maul knew the Nightkin were strongest when they worked together, and so he would keep what remained of his clan close here.
"Good. I have yet to form a base of power here but that shall come with time. For now, I have been watching and observing the patterns of this place to come to an understanding of what is required of us here." For Maul, he was realizing while things were different from Trench, there would still be some hardships that had to be dealt with.
"Yes. Sometimes, we receive things as rewards for participating in situations run by the fox. Other times, if you interact with people, you can earn enough of what is called 'Lore' to summon something from home." Maul already used it once, just to make sure it worked, and had been delighted to get one of his pets back. "I hope so as well," he said sincerely. Maul would be patient as Usagi got to know him again, the ins and outs of his personality and the strange quirks that were unique to him alone.
He understood immediately what she was getting at. The big secret she carried and one of the most important that Usagi possessed. "Oh, we shared many things with one another, including secrets that others might not know about." He tapped the spot where one of his hearts was at, indicating her crystal one. "Including the connection you have to the moon."
"So... I essentially get paid to talk to people?" Usagi pressed her lips together. "Look, I'm excited that I'm going to be very wealthy very soon but shouldn't people just WANT to talk to each other?"
As he tapped his chest and mentioned her connection to the moon she inhaled.
"Ah... So... wow, I know you said we were best friends but... ah..." She took a deep breath and smiled. It wasn't like there weren't others who knew Usagi and Sailor Moon were one and the same without her ever telling them. "Well, I trusted you with that knowledge before, so I don't see any reason I shouldn't trust it again!" she reached out and clasped Maul's claw. "So, where to now, Maul?"
"Well, some people don't enjoy interacting with others all the time," Maul pointed out. "There are a number of people here I would be quite content not to ever talk to again." Unfortunately, with the way things tended to go in Folkmore, he knew that wasn't going to happen. The Fox just loved to force them in close quarters even when he didn't want to be near anyone at all.
He squeezed her hand back gently. "I will keep your secrets safe. Always." Maul had never once told anyone that Usagi was Sailor Moon without them already knowing and he never would, not even under threat of torture. To keep the trust of his best friend was more important to him than many of the ways he'd often craved to gain power.
"Well, knowing you, you're probably hungry. So let us get you warmed up and then we can find a place for you to eat. Perhaps there is an all-you-can-eat buffet somewhere around here." Though the owners would soon woe the day they made that a part of their business model once Usagi got going.
Hello, I don't think we've met yet but I was able to find you in the network and you were mentioned by name by a person I'm speaking to. I have questions; you are not obligated to answer it.
Do you seek to become a kinder, gentler being or is this just a temporary stop on your way to true despotic evil? What is your 'true potential'?
Perhaps I will answer them but I want to know why precisely you are asking them in the first place. Did someone mention the slow path I am walking to to become a better person? And did that strike a chord with you?
Oh, of course. I should have provided more detail.
They did, yes, in the context of both this world and another encouraging you to become "a better person", and it's potential success with you. But without context for what "better" is, be it modern human opinions or otherwise, I can only guess what that entails.
It hasn't struck a chord precisely, but you ARE the only example provided for Thirteen's purpose for us here actually doing anything.
Recent events have left K feeling that Maul's offered guidance and training may be exactly what he needs. He's as ready as he can be. And luckily for him, one of the very first Familiar forms he'd mastered years ago was that of a golden eagle, so reaching Maul's skybound house poses no problem for the android. After sending a brief message over the relic to confirm Maul's at home, K sets off.
The massive golden eagle can be easily spotted circling overhead for a short time before descending toward the entrance of Maul's home. Shifting back to his regular android form in mid-air a few feet from the ground, K deftly lands on his feet and spends a few moments straightening his clothes. He hadn't been sure what to expect of this first training session, so he'd dressed in simple, all-purpose attire: a fitted long-sleeved shirt, pants loose enough not to hinder his movements in case of combat, and tactical boots.
He knocks to announce his presence and reaches up to absently brush a couple stray feathers from his hair while waiting.
"Ah," Maul said upon seeing K there on his doorstep, sounding surprised but also pleased that he had finally made his way to Maul's for tutelage in the ways of the Force after discussing it before on a number of occasions. "Hello, droid."
Two big-eyed creatures peered from behind Maul, a Shuppet hovering in midair and a Mankey that was currently holding onto Maul's back. They greeted K as well with their own Pokémon languages. Maul gently shooed them back inside. "Off with you two now. He is not here to play. I shall let you know if I have need of either of you later on."
He came outside his windmill and closed the door behind him. "Today we begin your training. Tell me, how familiar are you with how to meditate?"
The pair of Pokémon also greeting him surprised a smile from K, and he offered a hello in turn along with a little wave. A pang of nostalgia tugged at him — he remembered how Maul and Savage had had a virtual menagerie back in Trench. Even after all this time, he still missed Savage... who would undoubtedly think he was being foolishly sentimental.
"Like entering rest mode," K replied, making something of a joke that also wasn't a joke, because he did literally have a rest mode. "Back when I was still learning how to master my Coldblood abilities, Constantine helped me some with meditation. He called it a good tool to have in one's magical arsenal."
Probably a good tool to have in every arsenal, he thinks.
As I understand it you are both a highly skilled and resilient combatant. I have need of a sparring partner that can keep up with my enhancements, but cannot promise I will do no harm.
Ah yes, I remember you. The one who spoke to me about reaching my true potential.
I accept your proposal, as I am very hard to injure, though with the caveat I too cannot promise I will do no harm. But I have taught others for a number of years now and know how best to proceed with training.
As long as anything cut off is returned later, this is acceptable.
My physical training requires no further work, at least. However my ability to maintain emotional control has frayed badly, and it is an exploitable weakness. Please torment me as necessary.

You know I bet you're right I don't know what a clone is but I bet he's up to no good or did the no good already and is just trying to blame me
