Thankfully, I'll be satisfied with a more casual understanding, as it is to soothe curiosity and not seek power through the Force. Mundane methods will keep me busy enough, but that doesn't mean this isn't very interesting.

Does this would-be eternal ruler still live, or are you free of his plots?

Careful with that curiosity. You know what they say about it and cats.

Unfortunately, he is still alive. My former master is extremely hard to kill and fears death above all else, so he has taken many precautions to prevent that from happening. I do have hope someone will eventually put him in his grave for good.

I'm pretty sure I can't actually die, so the cats fate won't be shared.

But my intention isn't to make you uncomfortable, if this is upsetting the elf may have other examples I can question besides yourself.

I've heard others say the same. Take nothing for granted in this place, even if it is usually very hard to kill you. And ESPECIALLY do not trust the supposed 'guarantee' that we will be revived upon death. I have been in other worlds where that was normal but it didn't always work out that way.

It's fine. Talking about him sometimes helps remove any power he may still hold in my mind. He was the source of me becoming a monstrous person and committing many horrible acts. But unlearning much of what he taught me was some of the next steps on my path after I figured out that I wanted to change.

If you stabbed me in the right place or took my head off I'd die, I'd just also return even without Thirteen. I misspoke, I can be killed it just doesn't stick. If you know of ways around that, I'd like to know them so they can be used in the future.

Even with such a tyrant, were there worthwhile lessons imparted or were they all to your detriment? By your description even if there was, the price was much too high.

There's a way to kill everyone and everything. It's just a matter of finding the right one.

You are right. The price was far too high. But I learned courage, strength, and a kyber-hard willpower beyond compare. All three have kept me alive time again, along with the rage and pain I was also taught from him. I also gained much power under his tutelage. I still would have traded it all in a heartbeat to have spent my life on my home planet with my family instead.

If you can think of one that won't require excessive experimentation, I'll gladly take note of it.

Complete obliteration atom by atom sounds like it might be worth a look into.

One of my brothers is. He was brought back to life in a previous world and he remains in the last one I resided in. A happier day I have never known then when he was returned to me. The rest, unfortunately, are all dead.

Ideally this will obliterate the soul as well as the physical form. I've not heard of much which can take something apart down to the atomic level though, I'll look into it.

Maybe in time, Thirteen will bring him here too. Time doesn't seem to be much of a restriction, nor place. I don't want to suggest exaggerated levels of hope, but there's a chance.

I used to think hope was a foolish thing but now I hold onto it tightly. Sometimes, it has paid off in the long run, just as holding onto anger and hate used to do for me as well.

Unless she is the sort of person to use such an ability on someone with no explanation or input as to the ethics therein, no. I could do without the inevitable lecture.

Hope, like pride, seems to be something of a double edged sword. It's beneficial until it isn't. But in this case a little isn't bad, for the chance of it happening seems to be higher than zero by a good amount.

Well said and a good way to look at the emotion. When it is not beneficial, I don’t use it, but in this case I feel it has been good to hold onto it.

Unfortunate but for the best. Those with a solid moral compass should not have it challenged on a whim like that. I'll find alternatives, eventually.

In any case, may hope not be a pointless endeavor for you. I'm sure having family on hand and not wondering about their fates and locations would be a good thing.

A moral compass, I have found, is an inconvenient thing to have even at the best of times.

It would bring me some peace of mind, that is true enough.
