"This is Maul. State your business."
Voice | Video | Text | Action
Also always up for backdating anything specific done during events or plots that we weren't able to get to e.g. memshares, shapeshifting into other forms, etc. Just let me know what you'd like to do!
(no subject)
Do you and I have a Force bond, brother?
[He liked to think the answer would be yes, but his awareness of Maul seemed less through the Force and more as something instinctual from traveling closely together. He could pick his brother out of a crowd from sight and smell and if close enough, by the Force. He knew when his brother used the Force depending on the distance, and he also knew if his brother was dead if Deerington was anything to go on.]
His emotions make him unpredictable, which could make him draw much attention with the Dark Side. The longer he is here, the deeper he seems to fall.
[He chuffed at the returned affection, which felt like a very big step for Maul. Often, the rareness of Maul's admittance of care only fueled him subtly harder to push his brother more. Now it came far more freely, and he supposed he could give Usagi credit for some of that. Maybe his dying.]
He's annoying, and conversations with him are still frustrating. You're clearly the one to deal with him rather than me. [And yet he did frequently talk to Obi-Wan far more than he would have predicted he would.]
(no subject)
I believe we do. I can sense you, even when you are far away, and seem to know sometimes when certain things happen to you.
[Spikes of pain or anger were easiest to sense in the Force though sometimes other things eked through as well, such as great moments of happiness or grief. When Savage had died, Maul had felt part of him had died with him, sensing it all through the Force. If nothing else, they'd definitely formed one since they'd both ended up in Deerington together.]
If he does, we shall have competition. And there is only one way to deal with that.
[They'd have to deal with Skywalker eventually. Were he here alone, Maul would have thought he and Savage could deal with him easily. But with Kenobi here as well, Maul knew it would be difficult to take care of the fallen Jedi, given he would want to protect the padawan he cared for so deeply.
Maul had definitely grown in the time they had been here together. He had been pushed past his emotional limit but oftentimes it was in a good way, allowing him to express himself more easily than before. Now, at least he was able to actually vocalize how much his brother meant to him.]
Yes, it seems I am the only one that can frustrate him as much as he does others.
[At least if the way Obi-Wan had ended up getting exasperated by him in the past was anything to go off of.]
Otherwise, you have to pin him the same way an insect is pinned to a board.

Yet, he wasn't entirely certain how sensitive a Force bond would be. Suddenly, he had to think of Dirk and well... that would be interesting. But he couldn't sense when Maul was intimate, so clearly it would be fine.]
What kind of things? I've haven't been too injured.
[The worst so far had been the Cloaked figure from the blood letting place. She had been a miserable witch, and he hoped to never encounter her again. His emotions so far hadn't been tested too far, and he hadn't had cause to become truly angry yet when he could wreak complete destruction on an area.]
Kenobi will have to take him in hand. Death isn't permanent and killing him will just push him further to the Dark Side.
[Anakin didn't seem to be as purely vengeful as Maul could be, but that didn't mean such a facet of one's personality couldn't manifest under different circumstances. While he wasn't looking for an all out war, he would certainly take one if it came their way. He was a warrior at heart, and he would fight until the death if the situation called for it.
He and Maul were not easily killed he liked to think. Someone would definitely have to best them in combat. He had been in war before, and he considered himself better prepared with experience now more than ever.]
You have experiencing being annoying more than I do.
[More importantly, Maul had experience with word play far more than he did. That had never been his area of interest.]
Are you telling me I can stab him?
(no subject)
[It wasn't just emotional pain then or even the physical that he could sense, he'd been able to feel that tenuous bond that had been building between them unraveling and then disappearing entirely. He had been hurt then worse than anything Maul could have imagined.]
Skywalker is a blind spot for his master. He might end up standing aside until the last moment. We may have to do something instead.
[But Maul wasn't going to act until it became absolutely necessary with Anakin. Might as well have just let things continue on and let the idiot apprentice spiral out of control until there was nothing left to do but reduce him back into the form of a squid.]
Do I?
[Maul said with a smirk in his voice. He knew for a fact he did and had even used that upon his brother upon occasion. He couldn't help it, exasperating Savage could prove to be amusing once in a while.]
No, do not stab him unless you absolutely have to. As of late, he has proven useful. Do stab Skywalker if you get the chance, he is nothing but a nuisance and a headache.
(no subject)
It was true that his encounters with Anakin had bordered on hostile at all times, and that was fine by him. He had only a few interests when it came to the Jedi, and it mostly had to do with the Fanged God.]
I expect we will do what is necessary in such a case. You always have those plans coming together to deal with the Jedi.
[They had been in relative peace, and by that, he meant they weren't actively trying to murder each other at every turn. That was as close to peace as any Zabrak nation would come anyway. They were always spoiling for a fight if it was brought to them.]
I'll leave Kenobi to you. I don't need the confusion that comes with him. Skywalker doesn't learn from stabbings the way normal species do.
(no subject)
Yes. That is exactly what having a Force bond is like. It will only grow stronger the longer we spend here.
[He sounded pleased by the idea. Having been isolated for so long in the Force was like being in a dark room his entire life only to have light suddenly shed into it. Yes, it was uncomfortable and a bit weird, but not entirely unpleasant.]
Yes. If it becomes necessary to deal with them as the nuisance they are, we will be ready.
[Maul wasn't dumb and he definitely wasn't going to be caught unaware if they needed to start conflict with the Jedi. He smirked at the mention of Anakin.]
This is because Skywalker is an idiot. I am not entirely sure if he even possesses a brain in his head or not.
[Though Maul was definitely thinking probably not. There was just a series of atoms that bounced around in his skull until a somewhat coherent thought was formed.]
(no subject)
That's fine. But, you're not allowed to throw your life away if we have this. You dying once is enough for me.
[It reminded him of how little he had felt for Feral's death until long after it. He'd killed many creatures before, but his bond with Feral had been something built over years and nursed for the same amount of time. It was only long after that he had felt any sort of regret for the death of his little brother. Maybe that's why he threw himself so heavily at Maul, to protect what could be taken from him again.
He wondered when the point of nuisance would appear because Jedi did seem to wander around being bothersome. And likable. Since death wasn't a permanent solution, he wondered if they could trap them somewhere so they couldn't readily escape. That could be a way of dealing with them.]
We could throw them in a sealed prison and leave them there. That will keep them out of the way.
[Not that prison had held him or Maul for any real length of time. Force users had that advantage and the Mandalorians had certainly underestamated how they could function if given the want to just wander off.]
He's very emotional compared to other Jedi. He's even more emotional than most Dark Side users.
