[What an odd question to hear from his brother. Maul wonders what brought this on and intends to ask once he's done answering the initial queston. He pauses, not out of hesitation, but because he's trying to think of how to word his answer right.]

.....No. Had he found me one or two years after I was severed in two, even five years, I would have returned to his side with no hesitation. But he did not care anything about me. It was a hard lesson to learn that I was nothing more than a tool to him, a weapon to be used, disposed of, and forgotten about. You were the one that found me with Mother's guidance. Only my family truly cared about what became of me and that's how I knew who really cared about me.
