Also always up for backdating anything specific done during events or plots that we weren't able to get to e.g. memshares, shapeshifting into other forms, etc. Just let me know what you'd like to do!

[Of course he had to kill someone on their first day in Deerington. This comes as no surprise, but it sounds like there may have been a little more to it than just 'Maul went crazy again, just another day in Nightmare Town' that she's come to expect.]

I haven't met him, I don't think. Do I even want to know what happened that you killed him on his first day in town, though?

[Maul is going to try to get the murderer to see reason. Maul is going to get someone to try to see reason who tried to frame him for a murder he didn't actually commit. That is indeed good progress, and happy news. Willow can't help grinning.]

Okay, okay. I don't want to discourage you from talking over violence, but at the same time... You might wanna be a little careful here. If people think you forced a confession out of him, they might have a hard time believing it. I mean, I'll tell people it wasn't you this time, if you need me to - because I know this one isn't your fault, and I already told Yuri that anyway, but I don't know if that'll do much good if you make people think it this guy could either confess to murder, or be murdered himself.

Don't take this the wrong way or anything, but you calling someone out of control says a lot.

[Why is his universe like this? Who is in charge of giving all these unstable people incredibly dangerous weapons like lightsabers? It's pretty clear why loss of limb doesn't seem to be such an uncommon injury where Maul's from, and why he doesn't seem to recognize it as a particularly big deal.]

All I'm suggesting is maybe try to be a little careful about how you go about getting your confession from this guy. My world has a history with people being wrongly convicted because of forced confessions, so anyone who knows about that kind of thing might be a little extra cautious if they get that kind of vibe.

You've already said you find it discouraging when people jump to the wrong conclusions about you. I just don't want to see that happen here, especially in this case when it's pretty obvious you're not responsible for Flynn.

[It's strange to think that, if everything Maul says is true, he may have saved more than one life that day. It's hard not to have at least some respect for him, in spite of all of the times they've been at odds with each other.]

It's a good thing you were there to stop him. He sounds like he's a pretty dangerous person. I'm not sure that's someone I want to run into, honestly.

[She gives him a wry smile.]

I kind of think there's enough dangerous people in my life right about now.

Anyway, I know you're going to do whatever you think you need to, so there's not much point in trying to convince you otherwise, but at least think about what I said?

Oh... Yeah, I guess combined with the impulsiveness, I could see how that would make someone, um, a little unstable.

[He's actually going to think about it? That in and of itself is impressive progress!]

That's all I ask.

That's probably a good idea - find a way to at least balance him out a little.

[She nods.]

Don't worry, if anyone tells me they think it was you, I'll set them straight.
