Then have some self-control. I know many people here think I don’t possess any but the fact everyone continues to remain alive, breathing, and with all limbs attached proves that I do.

And yet I still remain unsurprised that this happened at all.

Then we will have to deal with it when the time comes. There is very little one can do to predict the future and we can only prepare so much for what will come. It sounds passive but focusing on what-ifs that may or may not appear is far worse.
